Landscaper in Seattle creates a private beer garden
]
Kirkland home is updated to include a privacy fence and paver patio which resemble
a biergarten.
The homeowners wanted a private beer garden where they could both relax and entertain.
The project components include a paver patio with an inset meandering stone path,
stone seat wall, Craftsman cedar fence with pergola top, irrigation and ornamental
plantings. The area is a small and underused portion of a city lot in Kirkland that
offered no usable space or visual interest. The homeowners needed a secluded outdoor
room that could be used as a beer garden for their home-made specialty brews.
Environmental Construction Landscape Project:
- The privacy fence combined a design that the homeowners liked with the Craftsman
columns that are features of their home.
- The pergola top creates a feel of the open rafters found in some of Munich’s Biergartens.
- The multi-toned paver patio encompasses the side yard to maximize the people space,
while the contrast of the paving stones against the pavers breaks up the squareness
of the area when it is nearly empty.
- The stone seat wall adds visual depth while creating room for plantings as it integrates
additional seating.
Cedar fence and pergola top provide a beautiful and private, outdoor sitting area.
Magestic garden gate and solid pillars blend in with the style and design used in
this Kirkland home.
